Top SchoolKesiena Akpobome is a Senior Software Engineer based in Stockholm with nine years of experience building and operating production-grade web platforms and distributed systems. Currently at Klarna’s Tracking & Affiliation team, she focuses on system stability, service expansion, and event-driven architectures using Node.js, React, Kafka and observability tooling. Previously she led talent development and technical teams at Andela, mentoring engineers through real-world projects and establishing high-quality engineering practices across multiple stacks. As a former CTO and technical founder, she designed end-to-end architectures and shipped high-traffic products like LendMe, which scaled to hundreds of thousands of daily requests. She combines hands-on engineering with a strong pedigree in coaching and curriculum design, making her equally effective as a builder and a developer mentor. Collected across finance, talent development, and startups, her career shows a consistent pattern: turn ambiguous problems into resilient, user-focused systems while growing engineering capability around them.
