Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolKhan Thompson is a Principal Engineer based in Melbourne with 14 years of experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-value, production-grade systems in fast-paced environments. At PointsBet he’s driven cloud migrations from PaaS to AKS, introduced functional patterns in C#, and championed Rust into production—work that has supported features seen in national TV campaigns. He blends hands-on coding (he still codes for fun and is a self-described Haskell fan) with people-first leadership, focusing on what motivates engineers while keeping delivery momentum. Khan’s background spans search, architecture, and platform roles at carsales and SEEK, where he tackled performance-critical algorithms and shaped team practices. He’s equally comfortable in the weeds of architecture discussions and scaling teams, often turning experimental language and tooling choices into practical production wins.
