Top SchoolKiran Gurajala is a Head of Applied AI and seasoned engineering leader with a decade of experience building production AI, IoT, and cloud-native systems across startups and large enterprises. He combines hands-on ML and LLMOps work—fine-tuning models and shipping generative AI products—with deep cloud architecture experience, having led multi-account, multi-region AWS migrations and resilient serverless platforms. His background spans impactful research-driven projects (EMG-controlled prosthetics, VR/AR for therapy, SmartGrid load-shedding) to commercial roles at Microsoft, Boeing, and multiple startups, demonstrating a consistent focus on technology that measurably helps people. Equally comfortable designing microservices and orchestration as he is shaping product strategy, he often translates academic research into deployable systems and mentors cross-disciplinary teams to adopt practical AI. Based in Seattle, he is currently helming applied AI efforts while also exploring generative AI fintech innovations.
