Senior🎓
Top SchoolKnut Haugen is a seasoned developer based in Oslo with 17 years of experience building web, backend and DevOps systems for media and public-sector platforms. He’s currently tech lead for NRK’s playback team, crafting TypeScript web components and cross-platform video players while previously operating as a full-stack devops engineer across Java, Ruby, Node.js, Puppet, Docker and Kubernetes. His background includes research-grade machine learning work on anti-money-laundering systems at Økokrim and a long history of shipping scalable online-media tooling and continuous delivery improvements at Amedia. Knut blends hands-on implementation with teaching and project management experience from early in his career, having taught Linux, Perl and system administration and worked with Scrum/XP practices. He’s comfortable “poking at all levels of the stack,” from low-level systems and XML/NoSQL data modeling to modern frontend architectures. A practiced pragmatist, he focuses on automating brittle processes and keeping complex media systems reliably deployable at scale.
