Senior🎓
Top SchoolKris Khaira is an experienced software engineer and engineering manager based in Kuala Lumpur with 14 years in professional roles and a technical career dating back to 2001. Currently leading Hirer Shared Services at SEEK, he drives platform modernization, developer experience improvements and cross-organisational tech health efforts that helped cut cloud costs by AUD 1.1M. He combines hands-on systems skills (AWS, CI/CD, monitoring, microservices) with people leadership—hiring, mentoring and creating IC career pathways and RTB guidance. His background spans startups to scale-ups, from CTO-level responsibilities at AirAsia Activities to early product engineering at Grab and MUBI, giving him breadth across front-end, back-end and infrastructure. He’s pragmatic about legacy migration and DevOps culture, often pairing with engineers on code and operational practices to raise team velocity. An understated strength is his track record of improving organisational processes (hiring, documentation, remote/async work) as well as measurable production outcomes.
