Top SchoolKristin Davidson is a versatile software engineer and consultant with 16 years of experience building and operating cloud-native systems, developer tooling, and Git infrastructure. She spent several years on Bitbucket Cloud focusing on Git operations over SSH/HTTPS and repository storage, and has held senior cloud and engineering roles at Northwestern Mutual, Mitel, and multiple consulting ventures. Kristin now runs kxd.quest, LLC doing freelance engineering and product work while also producing technical tutorials—over 10 published for DigitalOcean—bridging hands-on coding with clear developer-facing documentation. Based in Brookfield, Wisconsin, she combines deep backend and infrastructure expertise with a knack for translating complex workflows into practical guides and tooling. Her career reflects a pattern of “doing everything” end-to-end—from architecture and implementation to writing and productizing ideas—making her equally comfortable in startups, enterprise teams, and solo consulting.
