Top SchoolKristin Taylor is a civic and service design leader with over a decade of experience crafting inclusive digital services for public sector and transit organizations. Currently Sr. Director of UX Research & Design for Technology Innovation at the MBTA and Chief Experience Officer at TransitOPS, she blends strategic research, service design, and product design to improve transit data and rider experiences. Her background spans City of Austin digital services and Mozilla, where she contributed to Firefox developer tools and led design of an open-source QA testing tool. Kristin is skilled at embedding equity and accessibility into research operations—designing policies to compensate participants and reach low‑tech, low‑English, and screen-reader users. Trained as a painter, she brings a studio artist’s eye for craft and systems thinking to complex civic problems, turning qualitative insight into practical service blueprints and measurable outcomes.
