Software Developer at Aaholst Consulting
Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark
Summary
👤
SeniorKurt Aaholst is a seasoned software developer and system designer with 15+ years delivering robust solutions across finance, telecommunications, energy and lab environments. He combines deep backend expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, SOA and databases (DB2, SQL) with hands-on experience in embedded Android, C/C++ and cloud-native tooling like Kubernetes and Kafka. As a freelance consultant and long-term contributor at firms such as Nordea, Jabra and PFA, he bridges architecture, implementation and delivery—frequently turning legacy systems into test-driven, service-oriented platforms. Comfortable across mainframes (CICS, COBOL) and modern stacks (.NET, Spring Boot, Docker), he’s as adept at reworking core banking integrations as building device firmware. Based in Copenhagen, he’s pragmatic, deadline-driven and known for solving complex integration challenges that span both hardware and enterprise software.
