Senior🎓
Top SchoolKyle Courounis is a Senior Software Engineer based in New York with a decade of experience building and leading engineering efforts across startups and research collaborations. He combines hands-on systems and full-stack development with applied ML work—having built an academic literature recommendation system using GPT-3 and Semantic Scholar and later leveraging LLMs to draft government proposals. A practical tinkerer by nature, Kyle prefers dissecting and breaking software to understand and harden it, and he keeps many of his experimental projects private. Comfortable moving between research, product, and ops, he has progressed from founding engineer roles to technical leadership while mentoring peers and tutoring across web, Java, Python, and SQL.
