Top SchoolKyle West is a Web Engineer with a decade of experience building accessible, mobile-first web applications and services, currently applying his skills at FamilySearch to support a high-impact, global genealogy platform. He blends front-end craftsmanship with systems-level fluency—comfortable in JavaScript, C++, Python, shell, and even ELISP—and brings practical DevOps experience from managing LAMP and EC2-hosted e-commerce sites. Kyle has a track record of shipping reusable components and tooling, like Polymer web components and an Atom plugin for CSS analysis, and he practices continuous delivery and Agile collaboration. A Linux enthusiast who enjoys tackling tough engineering problems even when they stop being “fun,” he pairs a strong theoretical CS foundation with hands-on product delivery. Based in Lehi, Utah, he also enjoys math (and cake), a small personal detail that hints at his analytical curiosity and lighthearted persistence.
