Summary
๐คฉ
RockstarLance E Sloan is a Senior Application Developer at the University of Michigan with three decades tied to U-M ITS and over 10 years of focused application development experience. He architects and maintains long-lived web systemsโmost notably the Regents' Proceedings Index he began as a Python CGI in 2001 and recently rewrote as KarpeLiber using Django, Docker, OpenShift, and AWS. Comfortable across the full stack, Lance brings deep Python experience dating back to 2001 and has even contributed to the Python PEPs. Based in Ann Arbor, he blends institutional knowledge of academic systems with pragmatic modernization skills, favoring durable, maintainable solutions that evolve rather than get rewritten every few years.
