Summary
👤
SeniorLars Noldan is a Principal DevOps Engineer based in Austin with over two decades of Unix and systems engineering experience and a 12-year focused career in DevOps and cloud operations. He has led infrastructure and compliance-driven initiatives across healthcare, financial services, HP’s public OpenStack cloud, and Care.com, specializing in Linux/FreeBSD operations, VMware, Terraform, and database administration. Lars is as comfortable automating secure access and CI/CD pipelines as he is troubleshooting production incidents, and he has a track record of moving deployments from IT gates into self-service developer workflows. He has saved organizations licensing costs and reduced operational risk by replacing costly proprietary systems with open-source solutions, and he enjoys telling the technical story—presenting at conferences and authoring runbooks to spread institutional knowledge. Quietly pragmatic, he blends deep hands-on expertise with policy and process changes that scale teams and keep systems auditable.
