Laura Skelton is a seasoned iOS engineer and former engineering manager with 12 years of experience building mobile UX, design systems, and accessibility at companies including Airbnb and IFTTT. She led Airbnb’s Design Systems and A11y teams, pairing leadership with hands-on Swift and Objective-C development across UI frameworks and performance-critical features. As an open-source contributor she created widely used libraries like FastttCamera, RazzleDazzle and JazzHands that simplified camera handling and scroll-driven animations for iOS apps. Her background as a founder and product builder (Jetsam, BeerChooser, Block Party) informs a pragmatic, product-minded approach to engineering and design. Now happily retired in San Francisco, she brings deep expertise in animation, camera pipelines, and accessible UI systems that few engineers combine.
