Senior🎓
Top SchoolLaurent Jospin is a research engineer based in Lausanne with 11 years of experience at the intersection of environmental science and computational engineering, currently working at EPFL. He brings deep expertise in photogrammetry, image processing and computer vision, with strong hands-on skills in C++ and Python and experience across MATLAB, Qt and embedded real-time systems. His background blends academic research—most recently as a PhD candidate at The University of Western Australia—with practical R&D roles in industry (e.g., senseFly), enabling translation of novel algorithms into robust tools. He has a consistent record of helping students and teams deliver C++/MATLAB projects and building automated test libraries for geomatics drones. Notably, his training combines rigorous environmental science (high GPAs at EPFL) with practical avionics screening experience, reflecting an unusual mix of domain knowledge and systems-level engineering. He is seeking research opportunities in academia or industry to further develop photogrammetry and GIS-driven imaging solutions.
