Senior🎓
Top SchoolLeighton Tidwell is a Senior Software Engineer based in San Antonio with five years of hands-on experience delivering full-stack web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, TypeScript and AWS. He has a track record of leading migrations and platform rebrands—moving large Next.js codebases from Pages to App Router and migrating databases from DynamoDB to Aurora—while mentoring junior engineers through a formal training curriculum. His military background includes building a mission-critical web app to track POTUS/VPOTUS flights, an effort personally recognized by a high-ranking Air Force general, demonstrating an ability to ship secure, high-stakes systems under pressure. Comfortable across cloud stacks and testing disciplines (site-wide Jest coverage and analytics integrations), he balances pragmatic engineering with developer enablement. Leighton pairs formal study in networking and cybersecurity with practical product experience, making him adept at bridging front-end UX, backend services, and operational concerns.
