Top SchoolLeonardo Zamariola is a Staff Software Engineer based in Campinas, Brazil, with over a decade of hands‑on experience building scalable, cloud‑native distributed systems in Java, Go and Kotlin. He leads architecture and active coding at iFood, previously driving API‑first, event‑sourced microservices, SAGA orchestration and CQRS patterns across e‑commerce and fintech platforms at CI&T and Movile Pay. Leonardo combines deep systems-level skills (containers, Kubernetes, multithreading and distributed transactions) with people leadership—mentoring engineers, shaping technical roadmaps and running cross‑team initiatives that accelerated delivery for hundreds of developers. He champions DevSecOps and open source within large organizations, contributing to networking, observability and Layer‑7 tooling while running internal platforms on GCP/AWS/Azure. Comfortable switching between design, code and cloud operations, he’s known for turning complex business rules into maintainable, high‑throughput systems and for being a hands‑on technical showcase in hiring and knowledge‑sharing events. An economist by training with MBA and Berkeley coursework, he pairs product sensibility with pragmatic engineering choices.
