Top SchoolLian Li is a Senior Software Engineer based in Seattle with 11 years of experience building production software across finance, cloud, and consumer technology. Currently at Apple after three years at AWS and prior work as a quantitative developer, Lian blends strong systems and cloud engineering skills with quantitative rigor from a Financial Engineering MS. He holds dual MS degrees in Financial Engineering and Computer Science, and a finance undergraduate background with applied math—an unusual mix that helps him bridge algorithmic thinking and large-scale engineering. Known for a pragmatic view on code (GitHub bio: "Every line of code is technical debt"), he focuses on maintainable, scalable solutions in high-stakes environments. Colleagues describe him as someone who translates complex requirements into robust, production-ready systems while keeping an eye on long-term technical health.
