Senior🎓
Top SchoolLionel Pigou is a Senior Machine Learning Expert based in Ghent with 13 years of software engineering and research experience, blending deep learning research with practical systems engineering. He holds a PhD from Ghent University focused on video-based deep learning for gesture and sign language recognition and now applies that expertise to real-world ML problems at BioLizard. Previously he built full-stack game engines and graphics as an indie developer, giving him uncommon cross-disciplinary strengths in real-time systems and visual computing. Comfortable from model research to production engineering, he pairs rigorous TDD and full-stack experience with a creative drive to push technical limits. Outside conventional ML roles, his background in engine development suggests a knack for performance optimization and low-level system design that complements his research pedigree.
