Senior🎓
Top SchoolLola Priego is an engineering leader with 12 years of experience building AI-enabled products and founding startups, currently leading payroll-focused teams at Gusto where she’s exploring agents and LLMs to supercharge payroll. A former med student turned engineer, she blends clinical curiosity with technical rigor—founder and CEO of Base, an AI food-as-medicine platform that leveraged lab monitoring, and earlier head of engineering at a Khosla- and FF-backed medical device startup. Lola has hands-on AI pedigree from Facebook (two patents) and system-level experience at Amazon, plus strategic chops from Stanford LEAD. Recently she’s advised and invested across health and AI startups, helping companies design LLM and data architectures and reorganize engineering teams post-exit. Based in Miami, she combines product sensibility with deep technical leadership and an uncommon cross-disciplinary perspective at the intersection of health, AI, and payments.
