Summary
👤
SeniorLong Tang is a Senior Software Engineering Manager based in Milpitas with roughly eight years in managerial roles and two decades of hands-on engineering experience driving large-scale, distributed systems and cloud migrations. He has led global teams across the US, India, China and Latin America to modernize core banking, SaaS revenue-management platforms, and high-throughput media ingestion pipelines, frequently replacing legacy stacks with cloud-native, big-data architectures. At Capital One he’s focused on modernizing banking cores, and his prior roles include running DevOps, platform and analytics teams that sustained 99.9% SLAs and supported thousands of customers. A pragmatic architect and people leader, he blends deep systems knowledge (C/C++, .NET, Java, Cassandra, Kafka, Spark, AWS) with a history of establishing offshore engineering capabilities and cross-functional delivery processes. Colleagues rely on him to turn complex, multi-stakeholder problems into reliable, scalable services while mentoring engineers through large organizational changes.
