Summary
👤
SeniorLorin Tackett is a senior software engineer with 18 years of experience building resilient front-end systems using TypeScript, React, GraphQL and robust test suites for companies including Microsoft, Nintendo, and T-Mobile. He excels at modernizing legacy stacks, driving test coverage to 90%+, and creating tooling that enforces type safety and speeds cross-team development. Equally comfortable with firmware, hardware prototyping, and IoT, he reverse-engineered and resurrected MIDI hardware, designed PCBs in KiCad, and built ESP32/RP2040 dev kits during a creative sabbatical. Based in Seattle, he blends production-grade engineering discipline with a maker’s curiosity—crafting toys, CNC projects, and modular synth designs alongside mission-critical web platforms. He’s a pragmatic mentor who lifts junior engineers and offshore teams while shipping developer-facing systems that scale across products.
