Top SchoolLouis Raison is a Senior Data Platform Engineer based in Cambridge, MA with eight years of experience building production-grade data systems, optimization algorithms, and ML solutions that drive social impact. He has led redesigns of data platforms and pipelines at Zipline, improving compute efficiency—authoring Rust tools that cut runtime and memory by ~70%—and deploying services on AWS, Kubernetes, and CDK. Trained at École Polytechnique and MIT Sloan (MBAn), he blends rigorous applied mathematics with practical software engineering to solve complex logistics problems like nurse scheduling and school-bus optimization. Louis also has research experience scaling mixed-integer and graph algorithms on clusters and has shipped interactive visualization and user-facing tooling to help engineers interpret flight data. Outside work he publishes projects on GitLab and maintains a technical portfolio that surfaces both his optimization research and systems-level contributions.
