Top SchoolLuc Patiny is Chief Scientific Officer and a long-time chemical information innovator with 14+ years in leadership roles and over 30 years working at the intersection of organic chemistry, structural analysis and web-native scientific tools. Based in Lausanne, he architects modular, browser-accessible solutions—ranging from NMR assignment and prediction (nmrium, nmrdb) to ELNs, PDB explorers and mass-spectra analysis—used in both research and teaching from undergraduate to doctoral levels. He combines deep academic credentials (PhD summa cum laude) and sustained EPFL/UNIL affiliations with hands-on software delivery at Zakodium, translating complex spectroscopic and imaging problems into practical, production-grade web applications. Unusually, his toolset emphasizes reuse across diverse domains (counterfeit detection, isotope distributions, peptide structure) so that the same components serve research, production and education.
