Top SchoolLuca Tumedei is a seasoned Staff Test Engineer based in Paris with 13 years of hands-on experience building and hardening WordPress, PHP and JavaScript systems. Creator and maintainer of the wp-browser testing framework, he blends deep test automation expertise with full-stack development across Laravel, Symfony, React and Next.js. At companies like Automattic and The Events Calendar he has driven backend refactors and database-driven features for widely used WordPress plugins, demonstrating strong knowledge of WordPress internals. He’s equally comfortable shipping SaaS product work and designing robust test infrastructures that prevent regressions at scale. Known for pragmatic leadership, Luca pairs contributor-level code craft with a long history of stewarding open-source projects used across the WordPress ecosystem. An atypical detail: his profile combines production plugin core work with authoring a dedicated testing framework, showing a rare end-to-end focus on quality and maintainability.
