Top SchoolLucas Assis is a Full Stack Developer and former research-backed engineer from Bahia with 11 years in software, specializing in high-performance backend systems and API-driven integrations. He has led technical teams in software houses and startups, architecting scalable services for payments, cartório automation, and real-time Instagram metrics using NestJS, Redis, Elasticsearch and AWS. His background in visual sensor networks and a published IEEE paper reveals a rare blend of practical production engineering and systems-level research—he even built simulators in C++ with OMNeT++ and OpenCV during his scholarship. Lucas repeatedly delivers end-to-end products in agile environments, mentoring junior engineers while instituting robust architectures and delivery processes. Currently at JUST TRAVEL, he builds on prior work like the containerized metrics API at Winflue and unified payment gateway solutions at Gerenciagram. He paused a master’s in Applied Computing to scale impact through hands-on product engineering, favoring shipping resilient, automated systems.
