Lucas Marques
Software Engineer at Medprev
Summary
👤
SeniorLucas Marques is a pragmatic technology leader with over a decade of software engineering experience and nine years driving large-scale, mission-critical systems across fintech and health sectors. As Head of Technology at Medprev he shapes long-term tech vision, data-driven architectures and a cloud-native stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow) while building a Data Lakehouse and observability-first platforms. He has hands-on pedigree in high-throughput Java microservices for instant payments (PIX), designing secure, auditable systems that handled millions of daily requests and maintained 99.9%+ availability. Lucas blends team coaching and career development with measurable business alignment—translating KPIs/OKRs into architectural decisions and development plans. His background spans CMS and payment platform modernization, migrations from monoliths to microservices, and automating operational toil—an engineer who still codes but focuses on scalable, compliant delivery. Based in Greater Curitiba, he pairs an uncommon mix of mechanical engineering training and software architecture MBA studies, bringing systems-thinking to software and data problems.
