Domain Software Integrator
Genoa, Liguria, Italy
Summary
👤
SeniorLuciano Montanaro is a Domain Software Integrator with 23 years of experience specializing in Embedded Linux, Unix, and systems-level C/C++ development, based in Genoa, Italy. He began his career as an Amiga videogame programmer and evolved into embedded systems and Qt-based projects, bringing a pragmatic, low-level perspective to modern software integration. A long-time Free and Open Source Software advocate, he contributes to KDE—particularly Italian localization and historical Konqueror/KHTML work—demonstrating both frontend insight and core engine fixes. At Magneti Marelli he applies this blend of legacy knowledge and current embedded practices to automotive electronic systems and powertrain software. Colleagues value his attention to detail, especially in internationalization and subtle bug fixes that improve long-lived codebases.
