Top SchoolLucien Knechtli is a Senior Software Engineer in Philadelphia with 11 years of experience building backend systems, routing and last-mile logistics, and full-stack geospatial applications. He has driven architecture and technical lead responsibilities at Gopuff, delivering dispatch optimization, custom operational dashboards, and project scoping/estimation for large-scale logistics. Earlier work at Azavea blended React/D3 frontends with Scala/Python backends and Postgres for spatial insights, while at Lockheed Martin he reduced technical debt and automated developer workflows to save substantial engineering time. Lucien favors elegant design and sustainable development practices, enjoys solving unusual and difficult problems, and continuously experiments with new technologies to increase efficiency. He is deeply practical—bridging hands-on implementation with tooling and process improvements that improve team productivity. Notably, he is Philadelphia-based and not considering opportunities outside the area.
