Top SchoolLudwig Hähne is a Python developer based in Dresden with 13 years of professional experience, currently building language technology at DeepL after a long tenure as a Senior Software Engineer at Ableton. He combines deep practical knowledge of Python backends with a strong focus on code quality and maintainability, evidenced by PEP 8-driven refactors in the popular Pympler memory-profiling library. Comfortable in long-lived product teams, he brings institutional knowledge from over a decade at a creative-technology company and now applies that discipline to production-grade NLP tooling. Ludwig’s academic roots in computer science at TU Dresden underpin a methodical approach to engineering trade-offs and performance-sensitive code. Colleagues describe him as the kind of engineer who quietly improves developer experience through clean refactors and thoughtful tooling choices.
