Top SchoolLuis Ezcurdia is a Senior Elixir Software Engineer based in Mexico City with 14 years of experience building robust, scalable backend systems and leading engineering teams across startups and established companies. He has progressed from system administration and scientific visualization at UNAM to co-founding a SaaS venture and leading technical efforts at michelada.io, Unosquare, and TigerConnect, now focusing on Elixir at Koombea. Known for reducing technical debt, improving performance, and implementing CI/CD and localization at scale, he blends hands-on coding with architectural design and team mentorship. A lifelong learner and self-described "whole enchilada" engineer and alchemist, he brings curiosity from photography, travel, and science into pragmatic product-minded engineering. Not obvious from titles alone: he began in high-performance scientific visualization and supercomputing environments, which informs his attention to performance and tooling in production systems.
