Top SchoolLuis Ramos is a platform architect and seasoned software leader with 15+ years building web applications, databases, and high-performing engineering teams across e-commerce, logistics, banking, healthcare and telecom. Currently shaping ecommerce logistics platforms at Maersk, he previously led engineering and CTO roles including a startup exit into Maersk and ran 40‑person engineering orgs at Farfetch and Maersk. A pragmatic advocate of TDD, CI/CD and agile methods (SCRUM, XP, Kanban, ATDD), he blends hands‑on expertise in Java, JavaScript and SQL with a strong track record in process improvement (CMMi) and large-scale operations. He mentors and scales teams to deliver simple, tested, robust software reliably, and has experience contributing to open source and learning new stacks (e.g., Ruby on Rails) when projects require it. An early career background at CERN and university lecturing highlights his foundation in performance-conscious engineering and teaching.
