Top SchoolLuiz Sampaio is a systems and embedded software engineer with nine years of experience building dependable networking and Software Defined Radio solutions for industrial and defense applications. He has led firmware and software efforts across ARM Cortex-M/A and RISC-V platforms, porting hardware networking features to low-power software implementations and developing drivers and BSPs for Linux and RTOS environments. At Analog Devices he drove SmartMesh protocol enhancements for the Horizon Europe OpenSwarm project, and previously delivered mission-critical SDR waveforms and kernel-level device drivers under the SCA standard. Academically grounded with an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. in progress in Communication Systems, he combines research in robust signal processing with hands-on FPGA and embedded systems experience. Based in Limerick, he also brings classroom teaching and international research lab experience, reflecting a rare mix of practical engineering, defense-grade rigor, and academic depth.
