Senior🎓
Top SchoolLuke Chapman is a Lead Software Engineer based in Sydney with 12 years of experience delivering scalable, production-critical systems for startups and government clients. He combines hands-on full‑stack development (React, Node.js, TypeScript) with deep AWS serverless and infrastructure-as-code expertise to build elastic, observable platforms that handle millions of notifications and hundreds of thousands of monthly users. Luke has repeatedly stepped into early‑stage roles—often as the first engineer—shaping architecture, testing practices, and hiring processes while bridging product, data, and operations. He’s experienced in crisis‑grade systems (emergency notifications, geospatial indexing) and has a track record of improving reliability and delivery through SRE, DevOps and strong engineering leadership. His background includes real-world network and offline systems work at scale (festival infrastructure and remote connectivity), reflecting a practical, systems-minded approach beyond typical web app development.
