Summary
🤩
RockstarLuke Strickland is a pragmatic technology leader and CTO with 15 years of software experience and over a decade of hands-on development across startups and enterprise environments. He founded and architected Glimesh, a real-time streaming platform built on Elixir that now handles roughly 10 million API requests per month, and later drove a major migration at Classic.com to Elixir/Phoenix LiveView that doubled growth through improved performance and indexability. Comfortable toggling between strategy and code, he has led engineering orgs from early-stage teams to departmental leadership, mentoring engineers in new paradigms while still shipping core systems. His background includes deep back-end work on open projects like Liberapay, where he reshaped data models and SQL-driven backend logic, reflecting a strong data and systems focus. Based in Pittsburgh, he blends founder grit with operational rigor and a penchant for “programming by day, firefighting by night,” making him adept at stabilizing fast-moving products.
