Maël Gaonach is a software engineer with nine years of experience building data-focused systems for aerospace and scientific research, currently completing a Master’s at IMT Atlantique and working at Datadog in Paris. He has driven end-to-end projects at ESRF modernizing data management and creating a micro-frontend visualization portal that gives scientists immediate, experiment-specific feedback. Earlier work at Airbus Defence and Space involved satellite telemetry processing and maintaining data pipelines in multidisciplinary teams, and an internship in the U.S. delivered a GUI for mathematical expression building. Comfortable in international, English-speaking research environments, he combines backend systems design with user-facing visualizations and a pragmatic focus on tooling that accelerates real-world experiments.
