Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolManuel Carreras is a founder and seasoned IT consultant with over two decades of experience designing and managing large-scale infrastructure, storage and data management programs across private and public sectors. He has led complex migrations and transformations—moving multi-petabyte storage estates and implementing enterprise CMDBs that map physical to business layers—while guiding teams from systems engineering toward collaborative, knowledge-sharing models. A former principal consultant at Hitachi Data Systems and ex-university lecturer, he blends hands-on technical depth (mainframes, SAN, SAP migrations, application development) with program and IT governance expertise (ITIL, PMBOK). Currently he is building Algoritmes, a startup developing a portable data management framework for IoT and IT infrastructure, reflecting his interest in creating reusable, cross-domain solutions. Less obvious: his career spans roles as a government employee, academic, and industry lead, giving him unique perspective on both operational rigor and practical innovation.
