Summary
👤
SeniorMarco Fumagalli is a forecasting analyst with 11 years’ experience applying advanced analytics to energy markets, currently building multi-horizon generation forecasts for grid-scale renewables at Shell across five European markets. He previously developed large-scale demand forecasting models and led the implementation of an enterprise gas analytics platform on AWS SageMaker, S3 and Glue for Edison, marrying machine learning with production cloud systems. Comfortable working across trading, origination and operations, he combines hands-on model development, bespoke yield and risk analysis for PPAs, and short-term market optimisation for generation assets. Based in London, he blends energy engineering training from Politecnico di Milano and international experience with a practical focus on turning complex time-series and fundamentals models into operational tools that materially improve portfolio decisions. An unusual strength is his end-to-end delivery: from pipeline and platform architecture to model validation and commercial negotiation support.
