Summary
Marco Zorzi is a cognitive scientist and professor at the University of Padova who has taught Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Psychology since 2001 and now coordinates social sciences at Scuola Galileiana. He leads an interdisciplinary lab that pioneers unsupervised deep learning models of human cognition, applying them to neuroinformatics, neurorehabilitation and ICT, and his ERC-funded work bridges developmental, clinical and computational perspectives. With long-standing roles on the Padova Neuroscience Center executive board and as deputy director, he combines academic leadership with hands-on clinical research on stroke and learning disabilities at San Camillo IRCCS. A seasoned communicator and keynote speaker, he enjoys translating complex science for non-technical audiences, and—less obviously—has a hands-on tinkerer’s streak (he once built three racecars before moving on to robots).
