Top SchoolMaria Guimaraes is a humanist technologist, founder and CEO of Totum Tech in Montreal with a decade of experience blending inclusive design, ethical AI, and product strategy. Trained as a computer engineer and BFA graduate, she has a diverse creative-technical background spanning UX leadership at iBwave, product design at Cimpl, and earlier careers in animation, VFX and multimedia. She builds AI-for-people systems that prioritize accessibility and real-world impact, informed by hands-on design practice and civic leadership as founder/president of the Centre d'intégration Brésil Québec and board member of the Association des designers industriels du Québec. Comfortable moving between pixels and product roadmaps, Maria is as likely to prototype interfaces as she is to shape organizational strategy and community programs. Colleagues describe her as a systems thinker who learns from people, life—and cats—bringing curiosity and empathy to complex technical problems.
