Top SchoolMarie McAllister is a seasoned technical writer and former DevOps leader with 11 years of experience translating complex cloud and infrastructure systems into clear, usable documentation. Based in Portland, she currently shapes product and developer-facing content at HAProxy Technologies after hands-on roles leading DevOps and cloud operations teams at Sprinklr and Invoca. Her background in Linux/Unix security and network administration, paired with a BA in Anthropology, gives her a unique blend of technical rigor and user-centered communication. Colleagues rely on her to bridge engineering and editorial disciplines, turning operational knowledge into accessible guides and runbooks. Notably, she moved from systems administration and desktop support into senior engineering leadership before focusing full-time on technical writing, bringing rare operational empathy to documentation.
