Top SchoolMark Mcdougall is an owner and engineer with nine years of professional experience designing low-level software and FPGA systems, blending assembler, C/C++ and VHDL expertise. Based in Sydney, he leads Virtual Logic Pty Ltd, delivering end-to-end hardware and software solutions from small embedded designs to complex 24-layer boards with multiple FPGAs, plus kernel-level drivers and user applications across Linux and Windows. He brings a rare cross-domain skillset grounded in first-class honors electrical engineering and a computer science background, enabling tight integration between silicon, firmware and higher-level software. A longtime enthusiast of retro computers and gaming, he channels that passion into practical engineering—often working with soft-core micros and embedded architectures that echo classic systems.
