Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMark Weitzel is a seasoned product leader and architect with over three decades of experience who currently directs Core AI product strategy at Microsoft, managing a multi-service Azure portfolio worth hundreds of millions. He blends strategic vision with hands-on execution—spearheading generative AI, agentic workflows, and intelligent observability across products like Redis, Grafana, App Configuration, and code optimization to drive adoption and revenue. Previously he shaped platform and developer ecosystems at New Relic, Jive, SugarCRM and IBM, championing open standards and developer-first monetization that materially expanded top-of-funnel growth. Mark is as comfortable sketching GTM and pricing strategies as he is delivering field-ready AI prototypes that evolved into SWE/SRE agents and the Microsoft 365 Agents Toolkit. Based in Durham, NC, he mentors startups locally and has a track record of turning developer platforms into strategic enablers of AI-driven business outcomes. An understated strength: he consistently converts standards and partnerships into tangible product leverage and measurable revenue impact.
