Top SchoolMarla Hoggard is a senior full-stack software engineer with eight years of experience building high-quality TypeScript, React, and Node applications, currently contributing at Ditto after a pivotal role at Switchboard. She specializes in shipping product-impacting features—paywalls, onboarding flows, calendar integrations, and permissions systems—that measurably improved activation, retention, and organic growth. Her background in communications and athletic media gives her a strong user-focused UI/UX sensibility and an aptitude for clear documentation and stakeholder-facing work. A logical, puzzle-minded developer, she excels at balancing rapid delivery with technical debt reduction and has shepherded large portions of codebases into maintainable, documented systems. Based in Durham, NC, she pairs startup grit with an unusual mix of media, foreign-language, and music-history study that informs creative problem solving.
