Summary
👤
SeniorMatheus Fernandes is a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a decade of experience building scalable web and mobile SaaS products across US startups and Brazilian teams. He blends front-end leadership—having led front-end teams and rebuilt performance-critical components for 30x rendering improvements—with back-end and systems work in Kotlin, gRPC, and Python microservices. Comfortable owning end-to-end features solo, he has built a music-streaming SaaS alone and produced ML-backed recommendation systems in production. As a PhD candidate and published researcher in Program Synthesis using Functional Programming, he brings rigorous academic thinking to pragmatic engineering tradeoffs. Bilingual in Portuguese and English and experienced in multicultural remote teams, he routinely translates fast-changing business priorities into engineering roadmaps. Beyond code, he mentors interns and has taught automated grading systems and mobile development, signaling a strong commitment to developer enablement and reproducible practices.
