Top SchoolMatt Stiehm is an autonomy and AI leader with nine years of hands-on experience developing cloud-connected robotic systems, fleet analytics, and perception stacks. Based in Northfield, MN, he has progressed from autonomy intern to Autonomy and AI Lead at Nilfisk, shipping SLAM benchmarking, HIL simulation, remote fleet configuration, and service tooling that keep global robot fleets operational. He pairs systems-level engineering (cloud, DevOps, remote device management) with applied ML and perception work—camera calibration, point-cloud fusion, and obstacle avoidance—gained through both product and consultancy roles. Known for turning field feedback into robust production features, he also blends practical hardware testing and safety compliance with software delivery. Driven by a mission to build sustainable, impactful technology, he focuses on practical autonomy that improves real-world operations rather than novelty.
