Top SchoolMatthew Boentoro is a full-stack software engineer with 7 years of experience building scalable web and mobile systems, currently contributing to Azure portal features at Microsoft after impactful roles at Amazon. He has designed high-traffic microservices and front-end experiences—helping Amazon Clinic and notification systems reach ~1M daily users—and delivered initiatives that reduced packaging waste and saved over $1M. Proficient across AWS and Azure, Java/Kotlin, TypeScript and Python, he blends backend reliability (DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation) with user-focused front ends and robust API frameworks. A UC Davis CS graduate and published Android developer, he pairs hands-on engineering with a knack for operational improvements, having cut resolution times and improved performance metrics by double-digit percentages. Notably, he led the technical effort to virtualize UC Davis’s largest student event and mentors junior engineers, reflecting both product impact and team leadership.
