Top SchoolMatthew Brown is a Senior Product Manager with eight years of experience shaping data analytics and visualization products, currently leading product at Plotly. He blends hands-on web development roots—having built the frontend for a real-time global asset tracking system—with a strong product practice that emphasizes metrics-driven roadmaps and cross-functional delivery. At Observable he launched an experimental GPT-4-based assistant and a code-free reactive charting UI that broadened the product to non-technical users, and at Kinetica he shipped high-performance streaming analytics features and developer tooling for large-scale geospatial datasets. Matthew excels at translating complex technical constraints into usable interfaces and developer-facing products that scale across industries from logistics to defense. Based in the Greater Colorado Springs area, he pairs startup agility with proven enterprise delivery, and has a background in journalism and technical communication that sharpens his user-focused product storytelling. An understated strength is his history of building integrations and content tooling that dramatically reduced maintenance effort while expanding data reach.
