Matthew Crinklaw-vogt is a full-stack software engineer with 14 years of experience building distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and high-concurrency applications. He has deep Java/JVM expertise and is highly fluent in JavaScript across server and client contexts, with strong experience in reactive programming, non-blocking I/O, and pub/sub middleware. Matthew contributes to open-source database projects—working on cr-sqlite and a libSQL fork—where he’s tackled replication, conflict-free data models, file locking, and loadable-extension hooks, showing real-world database internals knowledge. His front-end work includes significant UX improvements to presentation editing tools, demonstrating a rare blend of low-level backend systems skill and thoughtful UI craftsmanship. Based in Washington, D.C., he graduated with a 3.96 BS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, and is comfortable moving between core database engineering and polished client-facing experiences.

Contributions:1 release, 30 reviews, 1054 commits in 6 months

Contributions summary:Matthew's contributions primarily focus on developing and enhancing the `cr-sqlite` database, as evidenced by commits implementing features related to convergent replicated SQLite. The commits demonstrate a focus on core database functionality including SQL database design with the addition of the `as_crr` command, the implementation of a data versioning system, and supporting client-server synchronization. The commits implement primary key support within tables and apply core changes to the way data is tracked for LWW (last write wins) style data consistency.
