Top SchoolMatthew Mecham is a software engineer based in Boise, Idaho, and a recent Boise State Computer Science graduate with a 3.73 GPA who brings 16 years of real-world work experience to technical roles. He transitioned from nearly a decade in restaurant management—developing leadership, customer-facing communication, and operational discipline—into QA testing for Lionbridge where he earned client trust to test unreleased game features and managed defects via Jira and Azure DevOps. Now at Air Force Civilian Service, he applies that mix of pragmatic problem-solving and attention to detail to software engineering in a mission-driven environment. Matthew combines strong QA foundations with formal CS training, making him effective at both finding edge-case bugs and contributing to code-level solutions. Colleagues describe him as reliable under pressure and adept at translating user-facing issues into technical requirements. He’s eager to grow in backend and systems engineering roles where his discipline and cross-functional experience can accelerate impact.
