Top SchoolMatthew Stephens is a Senior Software Engineer with 12 years of experience focused on iOS development and thoughtful UI/UX for mobile apps, currently building products at Squarespace in Seattle. He progressed through hands-on roles at Metromile—from iOS Developer to Senior iOS Developer and Squad Leader—where he combined feature delivery with team leadership and product-minded engineering. Early internships at FarmLogs and TechSmith gave him full-stack exposure, including Core Data, backend scripting, and front-end web technologies, which informs his pragmatic approach to app architecture. Comfortable bridging design and engineering, he often implements designer mock-ups into production-ready interfaces while optimizing for maintainability. Known for steady progression into leadership without leaving the codebase, he brings a user-centric lens to shipping polished iOS experiences.
